A “real” family
A client of mine sent me this video. It’s quite long (7 minutes) so I don’t expect a lot of you to watch it. But if you do, I promise you will get tears in your eyes. Personally, I don’t think of Texas as being very gay friendly. Do you? What you see in this video is staged but the “real” people in this town came through in a big way in support of a family of two moms and their children. A waitress in a restaurant consistently insults and berates them and eventually asks them to leave. The other customers step up in their defense. It is really heartwarming.
What is amazing is that this same scenario was played out a year ago in New York with very different results. You would think the opposite would be true. I hope you will take the time to watch it. It is really worth it. Then ask yourself, what would you do in that situation?
