Rabbi David Bauer
I had a very interesting conversation today with David Bauer of Queer Spiritual Counseling. David says on his website “God is Queer and so is the Universe.” He wants to help reconnect people to god and spirituality who are LGBTQ and perhaps have turned away because of messages they’ve received from their churches, their parents, society or other reasons.
I love what he is doing because I believe in God and spirituality. I love that he is helping people in this way. And because some of the people I work with will have been rejected by their families because of their religious beliefs, I know some my clients will have ambivalent feelings about God and religion.
